Four new internet domains have been added to the list of gambling sites which are blacklisted in Belgium. The Belgian Gaming Commission (BGC) recently added Betsafe, a brand operating under the Betsson gaming company to its banned blacklist. InterCasino by Amaya Gaming was also added to the list at the same time. Although Belgium deemed them unsuitable, both brands are licensed in Malta and considered respectable and safe casinos in the online gambling industry. A third site added to the list was casino-belgie, a Belgian gambling group which operates from the Netherland Antilles.

Since the launch of the Belgian gambling blacklist earlier in 2025 following the introduction of new laws which were set out to govern the online gambling industry, Belgium has forced internet service providers (ISPs) to block 78 domain names, and this number is likely to grow.
Under the new laws, only land based casinos in Belgium are allowed to apply for online gambling licences. Certain online operators (such as WMS and party Digital Entertainment) have bypassed the legislation by pairing up with local land casinos to gain eligibility for a license. party has partnered with Groupe Partouche in order to launch its Belgian online casino offering. Companies who continue to operate their online casinos without a licence can be fined as much as €100,000. These laws seems very unforgiving in comparison to legislation set out for UK mobile casinos.
In June, five sites were added to the blacklist, including Gibraltar-based betvictor. BetVictor SEO Michael Carlton was involved in the writing of a public letter, which heavily criticised the organisation's new regime and its rigid online gambling stance.
3D online poker site PKR was also banned in April 2025. All of the aforementioned sites have joined top brands such as Betfair, Betfred, Bet365, Ladbrokes, 888, Unibet and SportingBet on Belgium's increasingly large blacklist of online casino sites.
With the sudden growth of mobile gaming and mobile casinos, lots of casinos are stretching their offering to the new platform. Aware of the rapidly expanding market, they are rushing to get their mobile platform on the market as soon as possible. Casinos must now take extra special care and diligence when launching new mobile offerings to ensure that they are not the next domain added to the growing list. It seems that the Belgium Gaming Commission is showing no leniency with this matter and being blacklisted from a country in the majorly demanded European gambling market could have a significant effect on their competitive advantage going forward.
