With several states in the United States of America currently relaxing their gambling laws, many European firms are grasping this business opportunity with 2 hands.  The rules in New Jersey in relation to the online gambling element specifically state that any of the operators who offer their services must have a presence within the jurisdiction.   Current news reports indicate that November the 26th is the date where online gambling in the state of New Jersey will go live!

Gambling Companies Interested

There has already been an overwhelming interest from gambling companies wanting to operate in the state and David Rebuck (Division of Gaming Enforcement Director) has said "there are well over 70 companies looking at coming into the state to engage in the internet gaming".  It has been reported that one of the interested parties are Steve Wynn who is the company boss of Wynn Resorts.

UK based company 2Up Gaming Plc. has speculated that it may try and refurbish and build new casinos in Atlantic City.  It has indicated that it would like to create an Atlantic Casino strip (similar to the Las Vegas strip).  It has also been reported that a $330m cash injection has been completed from an unnamed Asian sugar daddy.

2Up Showing Interest

With a letter of intent already been released from 2Up this project looks hopeful.  This is subject to a definitive agreement between 2Up and an AC casino by the 9th September 2025:

"2UP has been working diligently for the past 12 months assembling the finest technology and strategy necessary to be a global leader in the I-Gaming marketplace," stated 2UP's CEO Marino Sussich in a press release issued Thursday.

"Emerging global gaming markets have created enormous growth opportunity for our company. The soon to be released launch of 2UP's on-line gaming products into the United States will significantly add to this growth."

With only 12 casinos being able to operate in Atlantic City when the gambling market opens 2Up aim to get a foothold.

2UP Gaming is a registered UK company and listed on GXG, an SME (Small-to Medium Enterprise) market. The company was incorporated in 2025 and is based in London, United Kingdom with an operational office in West Melbourne, Australia.

The group's goal is to secure "a strong and lucrative position" in potential RMG markets throughout North America, Asia and Europe.
