The Las Vegas strip is already jam packed with famous casinos such as Caesars Palace and MGM however there is a brand new one planned to join this crowded area in 2025. The SLS Las Vegas Hotel and Casino has now agreed to team up with the leading brand William Hill where they plan to introduce some state of the art sportsbook concepts! When you go to the sports betting areas in the as Vegas casinos they already look as though they are part of the London stock Exchange – with large TV screens everywhere on the wall and lots of people hurrying around the floor placing bets. This brand new sportsbook will have some full automated in play wagering services and the TV screens placed strategically around the walls will have all the different sports in HD. As if this wasn't enough, players will be able to access their William Hill mobile betting using mobile devices such as Androids, iPhones or iPads.
The president of SLS Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, Rob Oseland said the following:
"Together we'll create a sports wagering experience that's best in class for the market and takes the traditional sports book model to a whole new level."
With current expansions of the Las Vegas strip planned for the forthcoming years – this gambling destination has proven to become more and more popular. Current laws in the US are being debated in states where gambling is restricted and it looks as though these will be relaxed. The main winners here are the betting companies.
We have already seen announcements in the last week from Gibraltar based 888 Holdings that due to the recent developments in the USA they plan to expand their operations in 3 states. 888 Holdings recently seen their profits rise by a significant 41% and their share price which features in the FTSE 250 has risen in line with these more stable financial reports.
The future of gambling in the USA looks set to grow year on year where residents within the country will not have to flee to Las Vegas, Nevada just to have a gamble. Over the next year we will be watching these developments very closely indeed.
